At the Wayne, New Jersey-based Aqua Kitchen and Bath Design Center, Fabuwood is one of the most popular and best-selling cabinet brands. Since its debut in 2009, it has created a significant stir in the kitchen and bath industry. Fabuwood, based in Newark, New Jersey, has grown rapidly over the past ten years and is now housed in a modern building with one million square feet.

Fabuwood Cabinet Review: Quality
The Fabuwood Cabinets’ quality is comparable to that of other, more expensive lines, in my opinion. Our cabinets have been here for a year, and they’re still in good shape. None of the cabinets appear to have any significant problems. I also had no trouble designing my kitchen and getting everything I wanted (including a range hood).
PS: Overlays are not included with the Fabuwood glass cabinets. How I added these overlays to my glass cabinets is described here.
When the cabinets first arrived, there may have been two doors with a few scratches that our dealer replaced with new ones. In order to ensure that nothing was damaged during delivery, make sure to inspect every cabinet when it arrives.
All of the drawers are well-constructed, have soft closing mechanisms, and have a roomy interior. The pantry cabinets are very nice; the tall pantry cabinet’s bottom half includes roll-out drawers, while the top half is made up of shelves.
As of yet, I have not seen any paint cracks. The garbage door cabinet, which is probably the most used cabinet, does show some wear, but that is probably expected for a cabinet that sees occasional water exposure and such high traffic.
Fabuwood Cabinet Review: Cost
You can read about the cost of our kitchen renovation in this post, where I break down every expense. After extensive haggling and making the deal work for us, we finally paid about $12,000 for our cabinets. We did the Fabuwood cabinet installation ourselves as well. Therefore, there was no installation fee.
This concludes our review of the Fabuwood Cabinet. We genuinely adore these cabinets, and I believe they were an excellent choice for our kitchen. We were able to get the kitchen of our dreams by making a small cabinet cost cut. Any queries you may have can be left in the comments section below.
Fabuwood Cabinet Review: Design Features
The fact that Fabuwood’s door and color designs are current with kitchen trends has already been mentioned. In reality, white shaker cabinets are the most in-demand style right now, especially on Long Island. It is therefore not surprising that the Allure Galaxy door in the Frost white painted finish accounts for 95% of our Fabuwood sales. Additionally, Fabuwood offers a good selection of the modern kitchen cabinet luxuries that we’ve come to expect, including tilt-out trays, pantries, pull-out spice racks, wood hoods, base cabinets for country sinks with apron fronts, the ability to customize select appliance panels, floating shelves, and more.
Fabuwood Allure Galaxy Frost
We settled on the Frost-colored Allure Galaxy cabinets. The Galaxy is a door cabinet in the shaker design. I like the shaker style because of its clean lines and timeless appearance. It’s a lovely shade of white. I was concerned that it would be too stark or like hospital white when I first saw it in the store, but I was pleasantly surprised by the color.
It is more of a creamy white. After two failed attempts to match the color of the cabinets in the store, I actually used Benjamin Moore simply white to do the trims.
I’ve been asked by some people if cleaning the white cabinets is more difficult. In fact, I believe the white cabinets are simpler than the dark ones I had in my previous kitchen. Compared to white cabinets, dark cabinets show dust much more readily. In comparison to my previous kitchen, I clean my white cabinets much less. Similar holds true for wood floors; the lighter the floor, the less dust they reveal, etc.
Fabuwood Cabinet Review: Ordering & Delivery
Typically, Fabuwood has a two-week lead time. Every Tuesday and Thursday, they send deliveries to locations on Long Island. To find out the precise day the customer wants delivery, your designer will call them when placing your order. You can’t change this date. The direct delivery from Fabuwood is a tailgate delivery only, necessitating the presence of two or more people to unload the truck. Should you require white glove delivery or extended storage, we do offer options. For more information, consult your designer.
Many imported goods, including Fabuwood cabinets, experienced distribution delays as a result of COVID. We are observing longer lead times and backorders. Most of our orders are now delivered in 3 to 4 weeks. The fact that Fabuwood is a Hasidic-run business means that they are closed on all Jewish holidays, some of which are quite long, which affects the lead time once more.
Fabuwood Cabinet Review: Warranty
To its residential customers, Fabuwood extends a 5-year limited warranty. Only the initial buyer has a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase. More information on that is available here. If we ever receive a Fabuwood warranty claim for a previous project, it will be very uncommon. It’s important to understand that normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. For all cabinet makers, this is true.
Fabuwood Cabinet Review: Upgrades
I regret not purchasing the decorative support for the island or the spice pull-out base filler, two of the many upgrade options that Fabuwood offers. They are so lovely and the kitchen would have benefited from having them. Our range hood cover is one of my favorite features in the kitchen! The kitchen’s custom-made appearance is one of the elements that have the biggest impact.
What Can Make Fabuwood Cabine Better?
There are a few things that could have been done better for the cabinets, despite the fact that the overall quality of the cabinet is quite good. Here’s what I think about the improvements –
- The Delivery Process Could Be Better
The delivery procedure is typically quite rough, which hurts the cabinet. They ought to use a better delivery method as a result, to prevent damage.
- They Get Scratches Easily
Scratches are an extremely frequent problem with Fabuwood cabinets. They are prone to scratches. That issue can be solved by adding a layer on top of the cabinets.
